Three centuries after the foundation of the Saint-Denis college of the Grands Augustins by Saint-Louis in 1231, the vast town mansion now housing the Relais Christine was built. Within a stone's throw of the Louvre and Notre-Dame, the hotel is located in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Pres, a bustling district famous for its intellectual and artistic circles. The names of Baudelaire, Hugo and Musset, and later Picasso, Sartre and Eluard are among the many associated with it. Tucked in at the end of the narrow street from which it took its name, the Relais Christine is a haven whose peaceful atmosphere in enhanced by its pleasant garden and flowers. This delightful and secluded luxury hotel has succeeded in preserving the privacy of the home it once was. Its comfortable and welcoming rooms, the quiet atmosphere of its lounge and honesty bar, and its personalized service make it a restful and friendly place to stay, on a par with the best Parisian establishments.

Five Star Alliance Client Reviews - Relais Christine
Guest. January, 2007
"The location was exceptional and the staff was excellent. They were well informed as well as courteous. The spa was fabulous as well as unique for a small hotel. The fireplace in the lounge was a treat and the decor unique. We would recommend this hotel very highly."
Kathy, Chicago, IL. May, 2006
"I stayed here a few years ago and the hotel has become a bit shabby since then ... carpeting in our rooms was worn and not that clean looking. When we arrived almost all of the windowboxes in the courtyard were hanging heavily with dead plants it looked so horrible I even took a picture of it. As gardeners we started to clean them out ourselves from the room and a day or two later their engineer was out cleaning the others up. It was pretty obvious and shouldn't have taken our little nudge to have the work done. It was simply not an appropriate appearance for a lovely little 4-star hotel ... The people at the desk are always wonderful and helpful that hasn't changed! They were particularly helpful and supportive when we tried to use our limited French. Their breakfast buffet is excellent the waitstaff is tops and it's a great location for a wonderful hotel - it's just ready for a bit of a spruce-up. "
