Villa La Massa is a fascinating 16th century Medicean dwelling on the outskirts of Firenze (6 km from city center). Recently restored according to the Tuscan and Florentine style traditions, adding new luster to the splendid old mansion. The complex situated on the banks of the Arno river consists of three villas: the Noble Villa, the Old Mill and the Villino. Hotel offers its guests 37 rooms (10 suites) all different one from another, filled with antique furniture. Since the building was turned into a luxury hotel in 1948, many famous guests have enjoyed a stay at Villa la Massa: Clark Gable, Winston Churchill, Barbara Hutton, Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, just to name a few. More recently, David Bowie and Iman took over the Villa for their wedding. Managed by Villa d'Este Hotels.
