Since Henry C. Brown First Opened The Doors To His Grand Hotel In Denver In 1892, Presidents, Celebrities, Tourists And Business Travelers Who Have Stepped Inside Have Found A Luxurious Oasis, Right In The Middle Of The Great Plains. From Its Sweeping Atrium Lobby, Rising Nine Floors To A Glorious Stained Glass Canopy, To The Soothing Strains Of The Harpist Playing During Afternoon Tea, The Hustle And Bustle Of The City Outside Seems Miles Away. Mr. Brown's Vision Seems Far Reaching, 109 Years Later. Designed By One Of Denver's Preminent Architects, Frank E. Edbrooke, This Unique Triangular Shaped Building Allows Colorado Sunshine To Illuminate Each Of Its 241 Distinctive Rooms And Suites, All Of Which Surround The Nine-story Atrium Lobby. In Fact, During The Early Years When Guests Checked In To The Hotel, They Were Asked If They Preferred Morning Or Afternoon Sun.

Five Star Alliance Client Reviews - Brown Palace Hotel
Susie D., Herts, United Kingdom. June, 2007
"Very well situated hotel. The service was very good. The rooms were extremely tired, especially the bathrooms which were clearly in need of some modernization."
Sandra G., Newport Beach, CA . January, 2007
"I came to Denver on one of the coldest nights of the year. And after an icy ride from the airport, through the bitter cold, I was a bit apprehensive about my 'hotel', which I had never been to before. But instantly, when I pulled up through the snow, to the valet attendent, it was nothing but warmth from then on. Even at the late hour of my arrival, the bell attendent form the Brown Palace, took the time to give me a 'mini-tour' as he helped me up to my room. This is such an amazingly interesting landmark, and the overall experience so gracious, that one can overlook the 'small' size of a room. As was my case. It was tiny, but complete, and I loved the fact that it kept the integrity of the original building, just about everywhere. The artwork (original), marble, art deco murals, etc are all fantastic, and a breath of fresh air from some of the usual ultra contemporary hotel offerings more commonplace today. As you can tell...I really loved this place. But the best of all was the 'Ships Tavern' restaurant."
Brandon, Washington, DC. May, 2006
"The Lobby is a fantastic site and the service was very professional. While everyone was friendly I thought the conceriege could have been a bit more knowledgable about the area and catered to our requests in a bit more depth."

This 'grand dame' even displays a champion steer during Afternoon Tea in the Atrium Lobby each January in honor of the National Western's Junior Auction of Livestock Champions. So it stands to reason that the hotel welcomes the dogs of guests with unique Brown Palace-style. Dogs of any size are welcome to stay in the room free with their owner. A Brown Palace dog bowl and bed will be delivered to the room upon arrival for use during the stay, if the owner wishes.
