Five Star Alliance Client Reviews - The Peninsula Chicago
Alison K., Chicago, IL. January, 2007
"The Peninsula Hotel has been rated one of the top hotels in the world. Our experience at the Chicago location was fabulous. Everyone was so attentive and friendly. We enjoyed everything about the hotel and it's wonderful employees. The rooms (especially the bathroom) are exceptional. We would recommend this hotel to anyone desiring luxury and outstanding service. "

"Great. One of our favorite places to stay."
Harriet, B, Battle Creek, MI. January, 2007
"I highly recommend the Penninsula. Friendly staff and the service were even better than the Four Seasons. "
Shelley G. St.Louis, MO. September, 2006
"Just gorgeous!! Would stay again. Lovely rooms, very clean, exceptional."
Amy W., Huntleigh, MO. September, 2006
"Our room was attractive and extremely clean, but ridiculously small for the price. The location was ideal - as we expected - and the view was good, though compromised by construction off Michigan Avenue. Service was professional, courteous and competent, but many of our servers lacked charm, which we do consider to be typically a part of the 'luxury hotel' experience. The Lobby Lounge served good food at very high prices; we debated whether our experience equaled the cost. The Avenue Restaurant was not a comfortable dining experience because segments of the menu were too creative to be enjoyed - for example, our Kobe beef was ruined by the bizzare presence of 'eculpytus foam.' The manager of the Restaurant, however, was the most charming and personable member of the staff we encountered. The Shanghai Terrace was the unexpected jewel in the hotel's culinary crown - both the food and service was absolutely fabulous. The Spa was beautifully appointed and managed with great care - we thoroughly enjoyed our trip"
Dan S., Cleveland, OH. September, 2006
"The accommodations and the service were top notch. No detailed was overlooked. We enjoy staying at a deluxe hotel that is deluxe in every respect; the Peninsula was."
James S., Naples, FL. August, 2006
"My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience from the time we arrived. She enjoyed the location relative to great shopping and restaurants. The service is exceptional! Chicago is our kind of town!"
Michael, Dallas, TX. August, 2006
"Breakfast was dissapointing -expensive and ordinary. All else was perfect. The pool, spa and locker room were well attended and a delight. "
Mike, Chicago, IL. August, 2006
"We were celebrating a big anniversary, and we were treated wonderfully. Beds were not comfy, need to improve this area for the price charged. Room ventillation was noisy and poor air circulation. View was nice. The service was outstanding, everywhere!"
Heidi, Albuquerque, NM. August, 2006
"We were very pleased with our stay at the Peninsula. One of the finest hotels at which we have stayed. Elegant yet comfortable room. The very best service starting at the curb. Excellent customer service!!"
Terry, Rockford, IL. August, 2006
"We truly enjoyed the whole stay. Would like to have had more time to experience the amenities. All aspects were great, but a special note for Robert our concierge...above & beyond the call of duty."
Richard, Chicago, IL. March, 2006
"Room size, design, and decor all met or exceeded expectations. Great privacy, view, and amenities. The suite featured great flat screen TV's in not only 1, but 3 locations throughout the suite, including a TV at the Whirlpool tub. The custom bed was a lovely, luxurious amenity. My wife and I are planning on buying one for our home after spending 2 nights sleeping in that wonderful bed."
Stephanie D., Colorado. February, 2006
"The Peninsula Chicago is flowing with staff that is gracious and lovely--they go out of their way to make you feel special... And the hotel architecture is true to Chicago: grace with style combine to create an elegant, yet comfortable, ambiance. THE place to stay while in the Windy City! MeeMee, Concierge, is so special! She knows the city, the scene, the appropriate place for any occasion. Her charm is irrepressible ..."
Peter, London, UK. February, 2006
"A wonderful weekend break. Spa experience was good, slightly marred by renovations being made to the Spa so treatments were in bedrooms on another floor. Quiet, exclusive, comfort, close to the action!"
Mark, Boston, MA. January, 2006
"Exquisite room, lovely hotel. Beautiful suite, excellent service and excellent food."
