Five Star Alliance Client Reviews - The Sanctuary at Kiawah Island
Angeline J., Nashville, TN, USA. July, 2008
"We cannot say enough about the friendly staff (Marvin on the beach set up staff went above and beyond duty several times for us) or the beauty of the grounds/gardens or the lovely furnishings and quality of the rooms. The live music events and the common areas were perfect. Those parts of the experience were wonderful. We requested adjoining rooms which we could not get at initial check-in but the staff offered to try and move us after the Fourth of July as more people checked-out which wasn't possible in the end and it was not as great an experience for my mother in a wheelchair because of the groundskeeping and mobility issues."
Larry T., Florida. January, 2007
"The room quality was exceptional in terms of size/decor. The view of the beach/ocean were exceptional. The golf is unsurpassed. Room service is first rate....Service at the Ocean room was very pretentious and with 'an attitude'. The food was at best average at the Ocean Room....if not for experiences at the Ocean Room restaurant, I would have rated the five days exceptional, rather than average. The bar and bar service needs improvement..... the resort is not nearly the quality of a resort like the Ritz at half Moon Bay, Ca - yet .... "
Christine N., Clifton Park, NY. December, 2006
"The hotel was beyond our expectations! The staff was professional yet very friendly and their attention to service and detail was superior. The hotel was decorated heavenly for the Holidays."
Wanda, Orangeburg, SC. February, 2006
"Our Experience at the Sanctuary was an overall good one. Having stayed in other 5 star resorts, we found the service at the Sanctuary to be not of 5 star caliber. (We wanted to rent bicycles and were sent on a long goose chase to get some even though the hotel had some available.) The rooms were beautiful, spacious, and had glorious views of the ocean. Kiawah offers a vast array of things to do, and our dining experience was wonderful."
