Renamed the Hotel Palace Barcelona in 2005. Elegant and traditional, the former Hotel Ritz, built in 1919 and renovated in 2001, is situated on a pleasant, tree-lined boulevard in the centre of the city near the historic Gothic Quarter, convenient to the port and other points of interest. For nearly a century, it has been known for its world charm, courteous staff and excellent cuisine. The Ritz offers 80 Deluxe rooms, 34 Junior Suites, 5 Suites with Roman Bath and one Royal Suite Salvador Dali, as well as additional services such as 8 exclusive meeting rooms with a capacity up to 300 people, Beauty Parlour with all type of treatments and products, Health Club, Hairdresser, the recently inaugurated Caelis Restaurant and the legendary Scotch Bar.

"I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but I was very happy with the overall experience of the hotel. It was in a great location with great views of Barcelona. Although the hotel is very old, it was an interesting experience to see the preservation of the suite as much as possible. It was fun thinking about how someone was in that same room 200 years ago. They could update the beds, but cleanliness was of the utmost importance to me, and I believe they met that standard. I would go back to stay here."
