Location Summary
Hotel Papadopoli, formerly the Sofitel Venezia, stands on the Tolentini Canal, inside the Papadopoli Gardens, created in 1834 by Francesco Bagnara. It’s a truly enviable location: close to the Canal Grande and the Constitution bridge, an artwork by the famous architect Calatrava, that connects the hotel with the Piazzale Roma and the Santa Lucia train station. Culture, art and history of Venice are just a few steps away: Scuola Grande di San Rocco with the masterpiece of Tintoretto, Chiesa di Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari with Assunta, an opus of Tiziano and Scuola Grande dei Carmini, a testimony of Tiepolo pieces.

Directions to Hotel
Arrival by train - The hotel is situated 10 minutes walk from Santa Lucia train station.

Arrival by car - The Papadopoli Venezia hotel is situated 5 minutes walk from Piazzale Roma, car and bus final stop in Venice, and connected with it by a pleasant 300 - meters stroll through the Papadopoli Gardens and a picturesque bridge. There, you will find several parkings where you can park you car during your stay in Venice. Booking the parking place at Garage San Marco through our hotel entitles you to a discounted rate and a priorita access. Piazzale Rome is also a starting point to all the sightseeing trips to Venetian Lido, Murano and Burano Islands.

Arrival by plane - You can reach the hotel by taxi cab (within 20 minutes from Venice airport to Piazzale Roma) or by public transports (Bus Actv or Atvo, around 30 minutes).

The hotel features also a private pier that allows to arrive by boat (motoscafo, around 40 minutes) directly in front of the hotel's entrance.
