»View hotel on a mapLocation SummaryThis is a land of wide open spaces balanced by the singular beauty of
Nevis Peak, whose ravines and steep slopes are a never ending source of wonder and mystery.
History has given this small Caribbean island a prominence far
beyond its size. An important gateway to North America, it was
fought over by the colonial powers of Spain, France and Britain
through the 17th and 18th centuries. By the beginning of the
19th century it was one of the richest places on earth, largely due
to its sugar plantations. Among many notables who lived here are
Lord Nelson and Alexander Hamilton.

Fine Dining on Site
We take pride in using local fruits, vegetables, poultry and fish whenever possible. This is part of our
commitment to developing and preserving Nevis. Wherever you choose to dine at Montpelier you will find an ambiance infused with island grace. The Terrace is al fresco and has stunning views overlooking
the lights of St. Kitts and Nevis or The Mill, our 300 year-old sugar mill, converted into the only
restaurant of its kind in the world. With its original steps, floor and cut stonewalls the setting is magical.
For special celebrations we can create a venue that is perfect for you.
