Excellent

Excellent wellness hotel. Good for sightseeing with access to public transportation. Great room. Awesome vibe.

Set within the former Midland Bank building, The Ned is a luxury boutique hotel in the heart of the city of London. Designed by Sir Edwin ‘Ned’ Lutyens in 1924, The Grade I listing building offers a range of amenities and a private club.

The property's guest rooms and suites channel 1920s and 1930s design with vintage pieces and rich furnishings. From intimate guest rooms to large suites, bathrooms feature rainforest showers, along with a range of luxurious modern amenities.

Formerly the Grand Banking Hall, the property has eight restaurants ranging from quick and casual to classic fine dining. The relaxed options include Café Sou’ Parisian café, Zobler’s New York style deli, Kaia Asian Pacific poke, and Malibu Kitchen blending Californian & Mediterranean trends. For fine dining, the property has Cecconi's City of London modern Italian, Millie’s English brasserie, and The Grill Room steakhouse.

Available to members and hotel guests, Ned's Club offers a range of rooms and facilities including a rooftop, with spectacular 360-degree views across London, pool, Canopy Bar & Restaurant, and two intimate bars—Princes Street and Poultry Domes.

Dominating the belly of the building is the bank's original vault, which will house Ned's Club Downstairs and the Vault Room lounge bar. The vault contains over 3,000 stainless steel safety deposit boxes and inspired the design of Fort Knox in the 1964 film Goldfinger. Ned's Club Active has cardio, strength and training equipment, a boxing gym, Pilates, yoga studio and House Ride (spinning). At Ned's Club Relax, the spa, there is a 20-meter swimming pool, hammam, sauna, and steam room.

For meetings and events, the property offers six private venues and two terraces. Set within the building's most elegant spaces, reception areas feature natural light, while meeting rooms have vintage chandeliers, walnut paneling, and domed windows. Providing venues for 4 to 200 attendees, the property provides a range of good and drink options created by in-house chefs.
