Dorset Square Hotel — London, United Kingdom
Dorset Square Hotel
London, United Kingdom
Nestled in the fashionable west end of London stands the intimate yet congenial Dorset Square Hotel - a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World. This historic residence is ideal for those who know how to enjoy the good things in life ... quality, style and very individual service. Each of the 37 rooms is individually designed, Regency-style attention to detail with its own feel, furnishings and decor. All rooms are furnished with antiques, classic fabrics and original paintings. The Osteria dell'Orologio has taken the rustic Italian look, and gone with a more modern twist with vibrant colours and thought provoking sepia pictures taken by Celebrity Chef and Restaurateur Roy Ackerman during his international travels. The restaurant's name focuses firstly on the traditional element of Dorset Square and the historic clock built by John Walker circa 1830 in South Molton Street, Mayfair, dell`Orologio ("The clock"). Which hangs on the side of the hotel and represents both the importance of history and community in Gloucester Place. Secondly the Osteria, an intimate traditional Italian restaurant that adheres to the Head Chef ,Pasquale Amico's, philosophy of combining grea! t simplicity with great taste. Offering a selection of real, contemporary Italian recipes which are full of robust flavours and are, as he puts it, 'Fresh ingredients cooked in the best possible way`. Pasquale's experience is drawn from a multitude of internationally famous restaurants like the Cipriani in Venice and, the Hotel Quisisana in Capri, and working with Giorgio Locatelli at various times over a four year period at Locando, Cecconi and Refettorios in the city. Dorset Square is nestled in the fashionable Marylebone Village area of London's West End. Marylebone is an area which provides a vibrant mix of stylish and fashionable shops, restaurants, cafes and bars in an unique urban village environment - quite Parisian in its own 'al fresco gastro-chic' way. Each room is individually designed, with its own intimate feel and decor. Dorset Square prides themselves on the detail of the rooms, which perfectly complement the fine Regency styling of this historic building. All of the 37 rooms and suites are furnished with antiques, classic fabrics and original paintings.
