The Old Course Hotel, Golf Resort and Spa is one of the world's greatest golfing resorts. Situated at the heart of the Home of Golf, the Old Course Hotel enjoys a spectacular location overlooking the famous 17th "Road Hole" of the Old Course, the West Sands, the coastline of Fife and St. Andrews, Scotland's oldest university town. In addition, this deluxe five-star resort offers a luxury spa and four restaurants. Highly professional and friendly staff create a welcoming ambience. The Old Course Hotel offers some of the most luxurious accommodation in Scotland and has a total of 134 rooms made up of 114 bedrooms and 32 suites. The rooms have been designed to offer a welcoming haven where contemporary fabrics enhance the soft furnishings and marble brings a cooling touch to the bathrooms. All rooms have either the priceless view over the Old Course towards the St Andrews coastline or look out across the fields and hills of Fife. The spacious suites are some of the largest in the world and give fine panoramic views over the links courses to the sea. Each room has television, direct-dial telephones, hairdryers, iron and ironing board, mini-bar and tea and coffee making facilities. All suites have CD players and some also have a whirlpool bath.

At the annual "World Travel Awards" in December 2004, the property was voted the "World's Leading Golf Resort" for the second year running. The resort has been named as a Leading Spa for 2005. For the first time the AA Restaurant Guide awarded a third rosette to the Road Hole Grill, the resort's fine dining restaurant.
Recommended Rooms
Fairway Suites are located in new part of hotel, which is more modern in style. The Deluxe Suites are situated above the famous 17th tee of the Old Course. These suites are some of the most spacious hotel rooms in the world and offer spectacular views across the links courses to the sea. Using natural materials and hung with original contemporary art, these suites are both classic and modern. They feature a relaxing lounge with fireplace and large dining area, king-size bed, two bathrooms; one with luxurious whirlpool bath and a power-shower unit. All suites as well as some of the rooms have views of the course as well as the water from balconies.
Banquets & Meetings
Perfect location to host meetings, conferences, product launches, incentive trips, or weddings. Seven rooms, state-of-the-art audio/visual equipment, secretarial/translation facilities, dedicated business centre and extensive car parking. Member of Kingdom of Fife Convention Bureau, which provides access to a wealth of unusual locations, including University Halls dating back several centuries. The Millennium Wing provides a high-tech computer system for simultaneous link between public areas and bedrooms, to enable companies to download/utilise their own software during their stay. High-speed wireless internet access is available in all public areas and bedrooms. The Ballroom is a classic grand function room with vast glass chandeliers. Ideal for use in either large scale dining or conferences for up to 300 people. From product launches to fashion shows and beyond, this space is fully equipped to answer all meeting and banqueting needs. The Atrium and The Gallery is the focal point of the Millennium Wing; a cool, elegant space, with an exhibition platform raised on an underlit wooden deck and surrounded by translucent screens. Accommodates 500 for a product launch or full-scale presentation and stages "Art on the Links" exhibitions of painting and photographic works from galleries and private collections worldwide.
Disabled Access
The resort has two specially designed rooms for disabled guests with larger doorways and bathrooms with lower fittings. A number of others rooms also offer wheelchair access. There are five ground floor bedrooms.

The Old Course Hotel has a range of dining alternatives to suit your mood. The Road Hole Grill: Quality Scottish and organic produce for classic dining. Located on the fourth floor, seats 100. Open-grill kitchen, glorious views of the coast, links courses and town. The Road Hole Bar: Famous selection of almost 200 malts representing every Scottish distillery, mothballed or otherwise. Adjacent to the Road Hole Grill. Sands Bar & Restaurant: Contemporary cuisine. Stylish interior, upbeat atmosphere. Imaginative menu featuring seafoods, pastas and meats with an Italian twist. Located on the ground floor, seats 80, offers private dining for up to 30. Separate Champagne and martini bar. The Jigger Inn: Traditional Scottish pub with open-hearth fires; originally built as the station master's lodge circa 1850. Located next to the Pro Shop. Serves hearty Scottish pub food and accepted as the 19th hole by all who play and walk the Old Course. Duke's Restaurant: Bar and restaurant within the Duke's Golf Course Clubhouse. Spectacular situation, stunning views of St Andrews and the coast. Located in Craigtoun Park, seats 46 in the restaurant and 12-24 for private dining in the Captain's Room. Terrace for al fresco drinks/dining in good weather. The Conservatory: Serves Continental breakfast, classic home-made ice-creams, and a variety of afternoon teas including the signature chocolate tea. Seats 25, offers fine views of the links.

Fitness suite featuring new resistance and cardiovascular equipment including state-of-the-art cardio-theatre stations plus plasma screens and a free weights area.

Child Programs
There is a wide range of activities in St Andrews to keep children occupied and content. Choose from playing on the beach (sand castle competitions during the summer months), kite flying, visiting the St Andrews Aquarium or a trip to St Andrews own cinema.

For a fee per day, the hotel offers dog walkers, sitters, and doggie packs with maps, beds, food and other amenities.
Spa Facility
The extensive investment programme in the spa has dramatically transformed it into one of Europe's most advanced concepts in total well-being. Large lap pool and whirlpool under a glazed roof and surrounded by sun-loungers. Sauna, steam room, cardio-vascular training and fitness rooms with state-of-the-art equipment. Eight large therapy suites each with private shower, changing and relaxation area, variety of traditional and alternative treatments offered using Thalgo, Pevonia Botanica and Clarins products. Dedicated relaxation room and two treatment rooms for manicures and pedicures. Individually-tailored programmes for fitness and beauty available. Further work to The Spa are planned to take place after the 2005 Open Championship. Improvements include a new men's locker room with crystal steam heat experience, Vichy showers, Thermal suite with Hydro Pool, communal Heat Experience Cabins offering a Sunarium and a Japanese Salt Inhalation Steam Experience, Cold Plunge Pool, Ice Fountain, and Monsoon Showers releasing fragrance and lighting offering a range of different types of simulation from Tropical Downpours to fine Scotch mist.
