There are summer sales galore on Florida's sun-drenched coast. At the five-diamond Ritz-Carlton Golf Resort in Naples, room rates can be found for just $149 per night in June. So you can experience world-class golf on two Greg Norman-designed courses, the spectacular pool and sumptuous accommodations for a song. Or choose the "Sticks and Stones" package (how clever!) and you'll get one round of golf and one hot stone massage (per room) thrown in!
Most Argentines know the Palacio Duhau- Park Hyatt, situated in the city's swank Recoleta district, as one of the best, most fashionable hotels in Buenos Aires. After its opening, it was immediately featured on the Travel + Leisure 2006 It List. To quote: "Walking up the sweeping stone staircase of Palacio Duhau is like walking into a private mansion." The garden was designed by the gentleman who planned B.A.'s botanical gardens; the rooms outfitted with all the latest luxuries; the indoor pool equipped with "750 colored bulbs to simulate the changing of light from dawn to dusk." Vinoteca may have some 3,500 bottles of wine to choose from (accompanied by your choice of 40 different cheeses), but perhaps the best kept secret at the Palacio Duhau- Park Hyatt is the prix fixe brunch served at Gioia Restaurant on Sunday. Take a seat on the terrace and soak up the spectacular views of the Palace and the garden. Insiders claim it'll be the best $53 you’ve ever spent.
The only thing more magnificent than the legendary Grand Hotel Wien is its location on the Ringstrasse, just a stone's throw from the Opera and St. Stephen's Cathedral. At the turn of the century, the Grand Hotel Wien opened its doors in all its Belle-Epoque splendor and the hotel's been at the epicenter of Viennese social life ever since. The Grand Hotel Wien embodies all the plush decadence of the Austro-Hungarian Empire; the rooms are styled for those with the very highest standards of taste. Now you can enjoy a little taste of the good life with guaranteed dollar rates at the Grand Hotel Wien. A big thank you to the hotel for using a fixed conversion rate of 1.4894 which works in the favor of Americans traveling abroad. Prices start at $380 per night in a Superior Room (double occupancy) including tax and service.

We're big fans of Bushmans Kloof Wilderness Reserve and Retreat, an extraordinary property located within the Cederberg Wilderness Area in a World Heritage Site about 270 kilometers from Cape Town. The setting is stunning (where else can you dine in a natural sandstone amphitheater of giant boulders overlooking ancient cliffs and deep ravines?) and the amenities are luxurious. A world-class eco-luxury retreat that's won countless awards, the resort offers a unique wilderness experience. Bushmans Kloof has just put together a fabulous Family Affair package that's bound to please every member of your family. Activities are tailor-made for kids between the ages of 6 and 12 years. (Older siblings are welcome, too, and there are babysitting services available, as well.) Children learn all about animals, plants, birds and the Bushmen -- their rock art, hunting techniques and animal tracking. Other child-friendly activities include canoeing, swimming in rock pools, fishing, creating 'rock art', as well as camping out with experienced guides. Early children's supper is served daily, after which guides entertain the kids with night walks, game drives or movies, while parents enjoy leisurely gourmet dinners served in glorious locations around the resort. Mom and Dad will have ample free time to enjoy the five-star facilities, swimming pools, and soothing spa treatments, or they may want to take off and explore the surrounding area-- a sanctuary for many indigenous plants, animals and birds, including the endangered Cape Mountain zebra.
The three-night / four-day Bushmans Kloof Family Affair packages are offered on the following dates:
June 29- July 2, 2008
July 4- July 7, 2008
July 10- July 13, 2008
December 7- December 10, 2008

We have a winner. At long last, a name has been picked for the burgeoning development in the center of the Las Vegas Strip. The cornerstone casino-hotel of the $9 billion property known simply as Project CityCenter, the most expensive development in Vegas history, has been christened Aria. CityCenter, MGM Mirage and Dubai World just came up with the name for its enormous hotel located between the Bellagio and Monte Carlo. Scheduled to open in late 2009, this baby will have 4,004 guest rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows. According to Travel Weekly, MGM Mirage said that Aria's tower "is uniquely designed to deliver corner-window views from every guest room." CityCenter will also include three non-casino hotels: the Mandarin Oriental; the Harmon Hotel, Spa & Residences; and the Vdara Condo Hotel.

Belfast has been getting a makeover, thanks in part to the opening of its first truly decadent, five-star hotel: The Merchant, housed in the Italianate-style, former headquarters of the Ulster Bank. Besides the swankiest of guest rooms, this place also happens to offer the world's priciest cocktail. As described by the New York Times:
Nothing symbolizes the recent transformation of Belfast, the capital of Northern Ireland, better than the Merchant Hotel. Besides one-upping the old Europa-- once "Europe's most bombed hotel"-- the Merchant sells the world's most expensive cocktail, a mai tai made with hand-cut Fijian ice and rare Wray & Nephew rum, for GBP 750.
