As of today, Five Star Alliance features 10 luxury hotels in Bora Bora. Bora Bora is a tropical island in French Polynesia, located in the middle of the Pacific ocean halfway between Australia and the USA. Bora Bora is known as "The Romantic Island." It's a a small island set in a turquoise lagoon that is surrounded by a string of motus (small islands).
What Makes Our Guests Love Bora Bora?
-Exclusivity. There are more hotel rooms in a typical Las Vegas hotel than on all 118 islands of French Polynesia. If you really want to get away from it all, Bora Bora is the answer.
-There are no poisonous snakes or insects in French Polynesia.
-Look at the pictures. Pristine white sand beaches, clear blue lagoons, tropical vegetation over dramatic volcanic peaks and glamorous resorts. Need we say more?
If this isn't the perfect South Pacific getaway, we don't know what is: The Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora is now available for complete island buyouts, maximizing privacy and a perfectly customized experience.
"Your Own Private Island" is a seven-night exclusive buyout package, which includes use of all 107 accommodations (100 overwater bungalows and seven beachfront villas), four restaurants, the spa, the Resort's maritime fleet, pool, beach, resort activities and 250 Four Seasons employees. All meals, beverages, WiFi in all guest suites, airport and island transfers are included, as well as one spa treatment per guest.
Of course, a private island doesn't come cheap: The full seven-day package is available for $1,000,000. Other customizable buyout options are also available, with pricing from $45,000 per night for a room-only package, based on a minimum of three nights.
With a coveted harbourfront location between the world-famous Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge, fans of the Park Hyatt Sydney are in for additional treats when the hotel reopens later this year. The hotel has been closed for seven months, during which its interiors and exteriors were redesigned (nearly from scratch, we hear) and fully transformed. Word is the property is taking reservations for February 2012 onward.
The hotel, in the Rocks district of Sydney's city center, was redone with new rooftop suites, upgraded guest rooms and remodeled public spaces. Nice Touch: Views of Sydney Harbour and the Opera House will be visible through new floor-to-ceiling windows in almost all areas of the property.
Guest rooms are being completely redesigned to complement the hotel’s harbor-front location. The best part? An additional floor is being added for three new rooftop suites, each of which will have large balconies and appropriately luxe amenities. The Sydney Suite, Park Hyatt Sydney’s new presidential quarters, will have an outdoor dining table on a 1,000-square-foot balcony as well as kitchen prep and cooking space for a personal chef. All suites will have floor-to-ceiling glass doors opening onto a private balcony overlooking Sydney Harbour, and formerly four-paneled floor-to-ceiling windows will be replaced with two larger panes to make for clearer views of the city outside. In addition to new design elements, service enhancements will include twice the former number of hotel butlers to assist all guests and new restaurant-style, hand-carried in-room dining instead of the traditional roll cart.
Apart from private dining options, guests will be able to enjoy locally sourced and biodynamic cuisine in The Dining Room. Its entire façade is being reconstructed to optimize the Opera House view through floor-to-ceiling glass windows.

The hospitality industry's got the Royal Wedding on the brain. On both sides of the pond there are special packages galore for royal watchers to mark the occasion. But Langham Hotels has gone one step further. The hotel company recently announced a competition encouraging couples to submit the "most romantic proposal" for a chance to win a trip around the world, using one million Asia Miles and staying in the lap of Langham luxury on four different continents. (The trip is worth $40,000.) Just upload a videoblog detailing your marriage proposal, or a video of the actual event, and link it to Facebook or Chinese social media site Kaixin by April 29, 2011. In May, Langham Hotels will pick 10 finalists, who will then be asked to share how they'll spend their time at the eight Langham locations worldwide. For more info, visit: romantic.langhamhotels.com.
