Did You Know? The Caledonian

The Caledonian Hotel is a grand railway hotel that was built in 1903 above the three main archway entrances of the Princes Street Station (It was originally opened as Princes Street Station Hotel). The Caledonian Railway Company even developed a system in which steam from trains at the adjoining station was recycled to heat the hotel's water supply.
