Twenty-Five Years In, L’Auberge Undergoes $25 Million Expansion
February 2, 2009By: Dave Eisen
If only we could all receive $25 million when we turned 25 years old. L'Auberge de Sedona is. The Arizona retreat is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year with a $25-million expansion called Project Elevation, which is slated for completion later this summer.

The project will combine growing the resort's luxe components, but doing so in an environmentally friendly approach. To get around, for instance, the property will employ Electric Gem cars, which will shuttle guests not only around the property, but into Sedona's main shopping district. New touches also include a collection of hillside cottages with great views of Sedona's Red Rocks. Newly constructed spa and spa cottages are also being built to form a quasi-spa village. The resort's well-regarded restaurant will also be overhauled so that all patrons will have unobstructed views of Oak Creek while they dine. [Map]
