Slated for January 2011: The All-New Four Seasons London at Park Lane
November 11, 2010By: Mary Winston Nicklin
Look out, London. Four Seasons is returning to fashionable Mayfair. We've been waiting with bated breath, and now it seems the official reopening of the Four Seasons London at Park Lane is just around the corner. Entirely rebuilt during a massive, two-year renovation, the 40-year old property will have a serious wow factor when it opens its doors this winter. From the destination restaurant (Amaranto) on the first floor to the glass-walled rooftop spa with 360-degree views, this luxury hotel packs a powerful punch. Public spaces by design guru Pierre-Yves Rochon recall the golden era of travel by luxury passenger ship in the 1930s; there's also the air of the English country house with working fireplaces everywhere. Inspired by Hyde Park's greenery, the hotel will be filled with living plants; Conservatory Suites will have plant-filled, furnished indoor patios and the Garden Suite has an impressive terrace overlooking the park.
