Private Screenings in Toronto’s Hazelton Hotel

September 26, 2008| By:K. Clare Johnson

The Toronto International Film Festival may have wrapped, but travelers to the city can still attend private screenings. The Hazelton Hotel offers The Silver Screening Room, where guests can watch flicks in privacy, just like bigwigs in Tinseltown do. The walls of this luxurious private screening room are lined with mohair, and the custom theatre seating accommodates 25 guests. Pre-movie, celebrity chef Mark McEwan (whose One restaurant is affiliated with The Hazelton Hotel) is available to cater a reception in the hotel's Hall of Mirrors.

Designed by master designer Christopher Hansen of Beverly Hills' Simply Home Entertainment, the technology here puts your neighborhood multiplex to shame. The Silver Screening room is equipped with state-of-the-art digital projection, and a Sunfire Theatre Grand V surround processor has 8 channel input for 35mm film system integration.

But you'll have to bring your own popcorn.
