Grand Opening of Sense, A Rosewood Spa at The Carlyle, New York

October 9, 2008| By:Mary Winston Nicklin

The CarlyleAt last, Rosewood's award-winning Sense Spa is opening an outpost in New York City's timeless classic, The Carlyle. Since its opening in 1930, this Madison Avenue landmark has been hailed a world-class destination by pampered guests (who appreciate the discreet staff and supremely elegant facilities). Now The Carlyle celebrates the grand opening of Sense, A Rosewood Spa, situated on the hotel's third floor. Designed with sumptuous materials (luminous lacquered wall panels, deep charcoal faux leather floors, custom furniture and English chandeliers) by Mark Zeff of Zeff Designs, Sense "combines the hotel's historic glamour with the most advanced technology found in today's skincare and beauty industries." Treatments utilize products by Sisley, the premier brand in high-end skincare products, to offer guests the ultimate in luxury experiences. The spa features five treatments rooms, a relaxation room, a Duet suite, men's and women's changing rooms each with their own steam room, Yves Durif salon, and high-tech fitness center featuring the newest gym equipment from Technogym.
