Beach Break in Bermuda at Mandarin Oriental’s Newly-Renovated Elbow Beach

May 18, 2010| By:Mary Winston Nicklin

Elbow Beach, BermudaA private beach dusted with pink sand and lapped by turquoise sea... Bermuda's Elbow Beach is calling your name. With a $5.5 million renovation, Mandarin Oriental has repositioned its Elbow Beach property as an intimate resort of just 98 luxury suites. What this means for lucky guests: an intimate hotel experience but with all the high-class facilities of a much bigger resort. Rooms have been upgraded with advanced in-room entertainment systems including 200 TV channels with HD programming, exclusive Mandarin Oriental bedding and linens, iPod docking stations, and personal espresso machines. There's a new range of dining and entertainment options, too. The beach has new loungers and a spa pavilion for outside treatments. The fitness center boasts state-of-the-art equipment and the business center is brand spanking new. The former Veranda Bar has been transformed into a recreation lounge with guest internet stations, a large screen HD TV, a well-stocked library, an antique pool table and a complimentary refreshment station. Tempted? Rates are available starting from $395 per night with the "Luxury Breaks" package-- including a $75 credit for use in the restaurants or spa. (Two-night minimum required. Valid from June 25 – September 6, 2010.)
