We at Five Star Alliance work tirelessly to ensure we bring you the best luxury hotels selection and information regarding amenities, location, and highlights so you are confident that the hotel you choose will exceed your expectations and serve your needs. Sometimes, however, you are left with a few questions that go unanswered, and that’s why we’re here. Be sure to explore our new blog series ‘Your Questions Answered’ to find answers to real questions submitted to us by our clients regarding traveling with kids, pets, the best beach hotels, and much more.
Question: We are traveling in a group that has 3 adults and then 2 adults and 2 kids ages 14 and 15, and we’d like to stay at the Gansevoort Park Avenue Hotel in New York City. We would like to reserve two separate rooms. Can you recommend which room type would be best?
Answer: The Gansevoort Park Avenue Hotel has a ‘Feathertop Room with 2 Full Size Beds’ that has a city view and is 370 square feet. Two of these rooms would be able to accommodate 3 adults and 2 adults and 2 kids. There would be an extra person charge of $75 per night for every additional person after double occupancy over the age of 12 staying in each room. So the room with 3 adults would have an extra person charge of $75 per night, and the room with 2 kids over the age of 12 would have an extra person charge of $150 per night. To view full nightly breakdowns and to make your reservations, simply click on the hotel name link, enter your dates of travel, and select a specific room type. Please be sure to fill in the special request field stating that you'll have 3 adults in one room and 2 adults and 2 kids ages 14 and 15 in the other room so that the hotel can properly prepare for your arrival.
Please be advised that the rates, availability, as well as any extra person charges are subject to change depending on the hotel’s policies.

The W New York is going out on a bold limb (that's the one on Lexington Ave). We've heard of breakfast for lunch and breakfast for dinner, but breakfast for cocktail hour is a new one on us. The Whiskey Blue lounge is featuring breakfast-themed cocktails off of their Comfort Food menu. And nothing could be more comfortable than a glass full of alcoholic bacon, a holy union of my two favorite things. Throw in some whipped egg white and a lemon rind, and you've got yourself a complete breakfast. Tony the Tiger would be proud. And maybe you're more of a sweet breakfast kind of guy. In that case, the waffle cocktail is your go-to nighttime breakfast-in-a-glass concoction. Orange juice in a maple syrup coated glass is all the sweet you can handle, and there's more than enough fine liquor in there to keep the stomach settled. Finally, you'll Whiskey Blue is offering a blueberry scone cocktail, and you can probably guess what's in there: flour, baking soda, and a bit of salt. No, wait, I mean blueberry, cinnamon, and vanilla. It's so delicious, it's sinful. Head to the W New York to try out the cocktails that get you out of the bed in the morning.
