Question: We are a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 children age 15 and 11, and I am enquiring about the availability in Hotel Paracas, Peru for 3 nights from the 28th of August 2012.
Answer: The Hotel Paracas has a number of room types available, but they all have a maximum occupancy of 2 people. Sometimes rooms with 2 queen beds or a suite with a separate living area is able to accommodate a family of 4, but unfortunately this hotel has a strict 2 person maximum occupancy policy for every room type. We would suggest getting 2 rooms and requesting that they be interconnecting. This request cannot be guaranteed but the hotel would do its best to honor this request. The only room type that can interconnect is a Superior Garden View room to another Superior Garden View room. There are also Superior Rooms with an Ocean view that have either 1 king or 2 queen beds. These rooms cannot interconnect but the hotel would do its best to have them be located near one another. To explore these room options as well as view nightly rate breakdowns, please visit this website and enter your dates of travel. To make a reservation for 2 rooms, simply select the first room type, fill in the booking form, and then repeat the process. Please be sure to fill in the special request field stating that you will be traveling with 2 kids and that’d you like your rooms to be located near one another or interconnecting if possible.
Please be advised that the rates, availability, as well as the extra person charges are subject to change depending on the hotel’s policies.

A Sneak Peak into the James Royal Palm in Miami Beach
July 31, 2012
By: Oksana Balytsky
Featured as one of Forbes Magazine’s “top 10 most anticipated openings of 2012,” the James Royal Palm is certainly making a splash in the Miami Beach hotel arena. This luxurious beachfront property is situated in the heart of South Beach, Florida and is immersed in a new and vibrant scene. Aside from a new and swanky luxury hotel popping up in South Beach, we’re especially exited for the hotel’s pools (yes, that’s plural), its beautiful interior design, and its full service spa with salt-infused treatments. The interior of the James Royal Palm was created by Rottet Studio, and here’s what Lauren Rottet had to say about her inspiration in Boutique Design magazine: "After eating in some Cuban cafes and talking with local artists, I started thinking about Jean-Michel Basquiat (the late graffiti/neo-expressionist artist) meeting Virginia Woolf at the James and staying up long into the night talking about art and poetry." Not quite what we would imagine to be the driver of inspiration, but we certainly love the outcome and encourage you to make your reservations come this October to be among the first to experience the James Royal Palm!

Be sure to explore our new blog series ‘Your Questions Answered’ to find answers to real questions submitted to us by our clients regarding traveling with kids, pets, the best beach hotels, and much more.
Question: We are traveling in a group that has 3 adults and then 2 adults and 2 kids ages 14 and 15, and we’d like to stay at the Gansevoort Park Avenue Hotel in New York City. We would like to reserve two separate rooms. Can you recommend which room type would be best?
Answer: The Gansevoort Park Avenue Hotel has a ‘Feathertop Room with 2 Full Size Beds’ that has a city view and is 370 square feet. Two of these rooms would be able to accommodate 3 adults and 2 adults and 2 kids. There would be an extra person charge of $75 per night for every additional person after double occupancy over the age of 12 staying in each room. So the room with 3 adults would have an extra person charge of $75 per night, and the room with 2 kids over the age of 12 would have an extra person charge of $150 per night. To view full nightly breakdowns and to make your reservations, simply click on the hotel name link, enter your dates of travel, and select a specific room type.
